Early Closure After Unseasonal Conditions

Early Closure after Unseasonal Conditions

Alpine Resorts Victoria has announced that the official snow season at Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is declared closed on Sunday 3rd September.

The inclement weather conditions have impacted the snowfall as well as the capacity of snow that can be made and preserved, resulting in reduced snow depths for tobogganing, snow play and no snow coverage on the xc ski trails.

The resort entry fee will cease after Sunday 3rd September but access to the mountain remains open. Ski patrol operations will also cease. Food and beverage offerings will be tailored to meet demand.

Any ticket purchased for a date after closure date will automatically be fully refunded to the card used for the purchase. Please be advised that these refunds may take 1-3 business days.

Visitors outside of the snow season are reminded to check the local weather forecast before visiting, as snow can fall at any time of the year creating icy conditions on the road.

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort will now be transitioning into the ‘green season’ operations. The clearing of the mountain bike trails has commenced, currently tackling the Cascades trail, and then moving onto the home trails.

Please stay tuned on Lake Mountains socials for other important notices, like the official opening of the green season…
