i We are striving to have Cascades open by Grand Final weekend (September 28th) along with our shuttles which is much earlier than previous years however, we have recently encountered a few setbacks‼ As many Victorians have experienced, the weather conditions, especially the destructive winds, have meant that we have not been able to safely work on clearing the MTB trails, along with the additional fallen trees & debris that have added to the already mammoth task of clearing the 28km trail. Across the next few weeks, we will be keeping you all updated as to whether the date of September 28th will be achievable or if we have to postpone the opening of the biking season to account for these challenges👀 In the meantime, all MTB trails will be closed until safe to open😃

MTB Shuttle Information

The Lake Mountain shuttle service departs from the Peppers Hotel rear car park, accessible from 32 Murchison Street, Marysville.

Riders must arrive at least 20 minutes before shuttle departure time, to load the bikes onto the trailer and allow shuttles to depart on time for a 30-minute trip to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, dropping riders close to the Cascades MTB trail head. Once at the resort there are bathroom facilities available, along with trail maps and other information provided by our staff.

Weekday departure: 8am
Weekend departures: 8am, 9:30am, 11am & 12:30pm

Due to our Terms and Conditions, and the unpredictable nature of the weather at an alpine resort, we highly suggest those that are booking a shuttle service to not book so far in advance to avoid disappointment.

Catching the shuttle is a convenient option which not only benefits you as the rider, but also the resort, as a portion of the shuttle fees go directly back into maintaining and creating new features along the trail.
