Lake Mountain Update – June 2025

We had an incredible opening weekend with snow over Saturday, Sunday & Monday! Uncle Shane gave a beautiful welcome to country and Taungurung smoking ceremony to start the season.  

Below are some photos from both the ceremony, along with some moments captured in the snow!

• We have both the Mini (open on weekends) & Village toboggan runs open, with artificial snow, along with our designated snow play area 

• Artificial snow making is continuing to top up these areas, as well as building up a base for Koala Creek toboggan run.

• Our new stakeholder Dosa Hut is now open for business, serving multi cuisine Indian dishes including samosas, rice bowls, chaat (Indian street food) and traditional Indian deserts, in addition to the Lake Mountain Bistro.

• Christmas in July

July 26th & 27th 2025

We will be hosting a Christmas in July weekend on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th July, with a visit from Santa and his Elf, from 10am – 2pm on Saturday. There will be a charity fundraiser in partnership with XTM for their Heat the Homeless appeal, a special Christmas Roast lunch and plenty of fun and games with prizes to win. 

The Victorian School Holidays are soon approaching from July 5th to July 20th 2025.

Over the school holidays, we will be open 7 days a week, 8:30am – 3.30pm. Make sure to book in for a family fun day out!

In addition to our ticketed toboggan runs we also have our snow play area, several bush walks and over 30km of cross-country ski trails, all free with your entry ticket. A great idea is to visit during the week, outside of the high visitation days!
