Lake Mountain Sprint

Lake Mountain, part of our beautiful Cathedral Range, is situated just two hours from Melbourne’s CBD, and is the inspiration as well as the location of the second round of the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship.

Crews start their days in the glorious township of Marysville before assembling at the base of the mountain to begin the first highlight of each day – the run up to the summit.

The Lake Mountain Sprint seems to test the ability of both car and crews in new ways every time. Competitors can face fog, snow and sleet one day, and find themselves basking in radiant sunshine the next.

Open, sweeping tarmac narrows to winding, tight corners offering crews the opportunity to test the competency of the driver and navigator, and showcase the flexibility of their beloved vehicle.
