Over 30km of walking trails to explore

The highest point on Lake Mountain is 1480 metres above sea level. Across the plateau and summit area there are over 30km of walking trails to explore. Whilst the Black Saturday bushfires burnt most of the trees and surrounding vegetation, the signs of re-growth are starting to appear and provide quite an amazing contrast.

There are several lookout points scattered across the mountain, offering panoramic views of the Victorian Alps, the Great Dividing Range and across to Melbourne.

Lake Mountain offers walking trails to cater for all levels of ability and fitness, from challenging hill climbs to nice flat terrain.

Heights Bar and Bistro provides an ideal base to explore the mountain on foot. Come in and enjoy a sumptuous meal, a glass of local wine or a piping hot cappucino. Buy something in the retail shop to remember your visit. We look forward to seeing you soon.
