New and Exciting Mountain Bike Trails

New and exciting mountain bike trail network at Lake Mountain The need to increase visitor numbers during non-winter months and the growing demand for mountain biking nationwide was presented Lake Mountain with an opportunity to expand on the existing trails and create a purpose built mountain bike trail network. The focus of the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Mountain Bike Trail is the Lake Mountain to Marysville Trail. This will be an iconic ride, aimed to attract visitors to the area by linking the two destinations together. The success of this project is an important component of the recovery efforts of the area after the Black Saturday bushfires. The resort is hoping to have stage one of the trail network completed by February 2010, with an event to launch the new trails to be held on Saturday 20th February 2010 in conjunction with the Marysville-Lake Mountain cycling challenge. The trail network will encompass a variety of terrain, obstacles and challengers to meet all levels of ability, skill and fitness.
