Facilities and Services

Lake Mountain has excellent modern facilities designed to ensure visitors have a fun, affordable and safe day out at the snow.

Opening hours:
Bistro, Retails shop and Ski hire and ski school : Weekends: 8am to 5pm. Midweek: 8am to 4pm.
Visitors are reminded that dogs and cats are banned at Lake Mountain

On the snow

The latest state of the art snow making equipment. 

  Services include: 

  • Patrolled ski trails and toboggan slopes
  • Activities for the kids run by guest services staff
  • Controlled car parking
  • Free shuttle bus from the lower carparks to the village on weekends.
  • Snow making when conditions are suitable
  • Mobile phone service is provided by Telstra Next G only

Value for money

Gate Entry is $25 midweek and $35 weekends, public holidays and school holidays. Remember this is per car not per head. More details. We also have value-for-money ski packages and a full range of equipment hire options. Travel costs are also lower because we are so close to Melbourne. Lake Mountain again stands out as the most affordable snow destination.

Please note CAMPING is permitted at Lake Mountain in 2010 at some restricted locations. Please visit our administration office for more information. Persons camping at Lake Mountain are required to complete an "Intentions" form.

The water supply at Lake Mountain.

The water supply at Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is drawn from the Echo Flat area of the ski trails. This is an unprotected catchment that is the headwaters of the Taggerty river. Under the provisions of section 6 of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Minister for Health has declared the water to be  regulated water not suitable for drinking.
