What to Pack

Our friendly staff will answer all your questions and will be ready to assist you when you arrive at Lake Mountain. Our guest services staff are trained to assist. Say hello to Lenny the Leadbeater's Possum, the Lake Mountain Mascot

Water resistant outerwear is necessary for keeping dry on the mountain. Even on a sunny day conditions can change rapidly, so ensure your group or family has some form of waterproofing.

If you do not have access to water resistant outerwear you can hire it on the mountain.

To keep warm wear clothing that can be layered so that you can remove or add clothing according to your body temperature. Multi layering enables you to manage rapid heating or cooling as both can occur during your trip to Lake Mountain. Pack thermals and/or skivies, t-shirts, leggings, fleeces, thick socks, beanies, neck warmers and waterproof gloves. Avoid cotton clothing, including jeans, as they get very cold when wet. Nylon, polyester and wool are much better. As are tracksuit pants.

To protect your skin and eyes do not forget sunscreen and sunglasses / goggles.

Don't forget to pack comfortable, waterproof footwear that will offer good grip on slippery conditions. Avoid gumboots! The most vital pieces of clothing are gloves, beanie and waterproof footwear. All of which can be obtained at the Resort Ski Hire at the village visitor centre on mountain. More information...
